Dear potential vendor: The Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce, Arizona State Parks and the Northern Arizona Audubon along with all our partners are pleased to invite you to participate as a vendor in the Verde Valley Birding and Nature Festival. The festival will be held at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood, AZ from Thursday, April 24 through Sunday, April 27, 2008. The riparian corridor along the Verde River allows for great birding. The festival includes guided walks, field trips, workshops, exhibits, vendor booths, and special family educational opportunities. Over 700 participants from all over the country, as well as from local communities, attended last year. We believe that with your help the 2008 festival will be an even greater success. There is a flat vendor fee of $150. Local Arizona businesses with less than $1 million in annual gross sales may attend for a reduced rate of $100. We do not collect a percentage of your sales. We do request the donation of an item for our raffle that helps support our youth education program. Your vendor fee affords you a 10’ x 10’ booth space in our large event tent on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We will provide a table, chairs, and if needed, electricity for an additional $15. We will have a host camped on-site near the vendor tent during the evening and nighttime hours. You are responsible for your own products and belongings and it is recommended that you not leave anything of value unattended. Advertising in the registration booklet is available for a reasonable cost prior to Oct. 31, 2007. Those purchasing advertising are also entitled to have a link on our website. Information is included in this packet. Please contact us immediately if interested. Vendor hours will be: Vendors will be asked to set up their booths between 3 and 5pm on Wednesday, April 23 or Thursday, April 24 before 11am. You will be allowed to drive up to the rear opening of the tent to unload only during those times, There will be a Welcome Reception on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm where local community leaders welcome our participants. Soft drinks, wine and snacks are served. Vendors often remark that this is a good opportunity for sales as folks are socializing, shopping and not off on any of the fabulous field trips. Sponsorships are available for this and many other of our great events. Please contact if interested. Saturday is Family Fun Day and our busiest day. We plan free activities, walks and presentations for children attending with their families.
