Our local talent extends beyond our field trip leaders. We are pleased to have
Jeff Schalau talk to us about our theme for this year’s event.
This should prove to be an enjoyable and interesting evening. Jeff presents an entertaining perspective on one of the solutions to help wildlife while we meet one of our basic needs. Nutrition.
Jeff Schalau has been the Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent,
and County Extension Director for the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension
in Yavapai County since 1998. He has a B.S. in Forest Management and an M.S.
in Natural Resources from Humboldt State University, Arcata, California. Jeff
provides science-based information in the areas of forest health, watershed
management, noxious/invasive plants, range management, wildfire defensible space
and horticulture. He also writes a regular column for the local media and is
well known and respected in the Verde Valley.
We’ll have our raffle drawing too. So be sure to purchase your tickets
during the festival at the raffle booth in the main event tent or at the reception.
