Verde Program Coordinator for the Center for Biodiversity, Joanne enjoys sharing her passion for biology with the community and in the field. In addition to advocating protection of the Verde River ecosystem and other natural areas, she finds time to explore her own favorite wildlands. After earning a B.S. in biology from Northern Arizona University, teaching college biology, and leading Elderhostel groups throughout the Southwest, she approaches completion of her master's thesis on hantavirus at Grand Canyon.
