The Aviary

2010

Where do you flock while waiting for your field trip to begin? We call it the “Aviary.” It’s a place to relax, visit among other participants, and talk birds. We created this special shaded, meeting place just for the festival-goers.

The Aviary is located across the sidewalk from the registration tent. It gives you a birds-eye view of the field trip loading area. Here you will be able to wait for your scheduled field trips, talk with new friends, view the growing bird list, and enjoy our hospitality. We expect to hear a lot of twittering coming from this gathering spot and hope you take advantage of your free time to sit and share your experiences.

Bird Friendly Shade Grown Coffee

We care about birds and are especially concerned with the loss of habitat along the routes of migratory species. We always serve only bird friendly coffee at all our events and encourage our community to be aware of the consequences of their purchases every day. More and more of our local businesses offer organic and natural foods only because that is what we, as consumers, demand.

We are proud that New Frontiers Natural Foods in Sedona helps support this event with their donation of bird friendly coffee for our hospitality area. We also want to thank the local businesses that help support our Aviary: Cottonwood Wal-Mart, Bashas in Camp Verde and Sedona, and Food City, Safeway, and Fry’s Food and Drug in Cottonwood. The Blazin’M Ranch Dinner Show provides ice for the field trips and the Verde Valley Medical Center makes our delicious box lunches.
